Project Sakura Wars for PS4 Reveals DLC Aplenty, New Song, and New Anime Trailer Ahead of Release

Today Sega had plenty of news to release about Shin Sakura Taisen for PlayStation 4, also known as Project Sakura Wars in the west.

Today Sega hosted a launch livestream for Shin Sakura Taisen, also known as Project Sakura Wars in the west.

The livestream featured several interesting assets and news about the game, which is releasing in Japan in just a few hours.

First of all, we get to see a trailer of the DLC coming to the game, which include costumes and cosmetic accessories.

The first DLC will include costumes inspired by the original Sakura Wars launching tomorrow as a day-one DLC for 900 yen.

The second DLC will launch on December 19 also for 900 yen, including costumes from the squels.

Also on December 19, we’ll get a DLC focusing on glasses for 300 yen.

January 9 will see the launch of a DLC featuring outfits the characters would wear in their room for 800 yen. On top of that, 300 yen will net you a a DLC with halos.

On January 16th the game will get a stage costume set for 800 yen, and a DALC with tails for 300 yen, while the inevitable swimsuits will launch on January 23 for 800 yen and cat ears (black and white) priced at 300 yen.

A season pass will be available tomorrow for 4,000 yen.

We also get to see plenty of PS4 themes that will also be released tomorrow for 227 yen each. Those won’t be included in the season pass.

Another video shows the digital artwork created for the game, including plenty of artwork for all the characters on top of the mecha design and some illustrations from past games of the series.

We also get to see a brief trailer focusing on one of the heroines, Anastasia Palma, also showcasing some of the accessories included in the DLC mentioned above.

Then we get to check out a lovely group song titled “Aratanaru,” which translates into “New.”

We also hear about the anime series inspired by the game Shin Sakura Taisen The Animation. We get to see a new trailer and we learn that it will air in Japan in April 2020.

Moving on to merchandise, we hear that Good Smile Company is going to release a brand new nendoroid portraying heroine Sakura Amamiya.
