The Japanese national TV NHK has an English language web channel named NHK World, and one of its shows titled Imagine-Nation just dedicated a whole episode to the series and the upcoming game.

We get to hear from the developers on top of taking an extensive look at the new game.

You can watch it here.

It’s quite interesting, as it delves in depth in several aspects of the production, from development to music composition.

Keep in mind that being a TV show aimed to a mass-market audience, it has a few small inaccuracies, and it’s funny to see producer Tetsu Katano mentioning that the series was never released in the west before.

Of course, that’s not accurate, since Sakura Wars 5 was released in North America and Europe as Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love. That being said, it wasn’t released directly by Sega, so it’s not surprising that Katano-san isn’t aware of that.

If you want to see more about Project Sakura Wars, you can also enjoy the latest gameplay showing Claris in action, the latest trailer, the previous gameplay and more trailers, the latest screenshots, the first trailer of the character design series featuring Bleach creator Tite Kubo, the previous gallery of screenshots, the one before, another batch of images focusing on romance, another reveal with two new characters and videos, and the beautiful anime opening cutscene,

We also have a music video dedicated to Sakura, one featuring Hatsuho one focusing on Elise, one showcasing Lancelot, one featuring Anastasia Palma, another starring Huang Yui, one showing Claris, more trailers, the latest gameplay,  latest gallery of screenshots, another gallery, the previous gameplay reveal, another one, and an earlier gallery of screenshots and art.

A demo has recently been made available on the Japanese PlayStation Store.
