Today third-party developer and publisher Orbx announced had Microsoft Flight Simulator news to share via press release.
We learn that the publisher launched a partnership with Seafront Simulation to publish its “Vessels” series to Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The series populates coastlines and marinas with plenty of detailed ships and boats in order to make them look more lively.
The first package of the series, Vessels: The Channel Islands, features the titular locations of Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney, Herm and Sark.
It can be found on Orbx Central and the best news is that it’s free. More packages will be released at a later time, including Vessels: UK South East Coast, and Vessels: Anguilla, St Martin & St Barts.
The Channel Islands includes the following
- Over 3,400 vessels packing more than 10 marinas and coastline across 5 islands
- Includes PBR Vessels
- Animated ships, motorboats and yachts
- Night lighting in marinas
- Navigation lighting on vessels
You can see what it looks like below.
Speaking of partnership, today the first airport by Orbx’s new partner Terrainy Studios has also been released on Orbx Central. It’s Samos International Airport (LGSM) in Greece.
It’s available now for $17.64 and you can see a trailer below.
Last, but not least, a release date has been announced for the Landmark Singapore City Pack, which we have covered extensively over the past few weeks.
It’ll launch on Feb. 12, so the wait is almost over.
A few of days ago, we published our massive interview with head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann, who provided a lot of new info about the present and future of the sim.
