Yakuza: Like a Dragon Reveals Daigo & More; Kazuma Kiryu & Returning Characters Will Be Summons

Today’s issue of Weekly Famitsu included a spread on the upcoming JRPG Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Known in Japan as Ryu ga Gotoku 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness.

This one is particularly interesting as it includes a look at two more returning characters, Daigo Dojima and Masaru Watase.

Daigo is the last chairman of the Tojo Clan. Like most of the returning heroes, his whereabouts have been unknown since the Operation Kamurochi 3K, with which the police destroyed the clan and “cleaned up” Kamurocho.

Masaru Watase was the captain of the Omi Alliance. Extremely proficient in martial arts, he is currently supposed to be in jail. Masumi Arakawa has been appointed acting captain in his stead, but it appears that Watase may actually not be in prison anymore.

On top of them we already know about Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, and Taiga Saejima, for a total of five legendary characters from past Yakuza games that will appear in Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, by fulfilling the right conditions and paying an appropriate fee, you’ll be able to summon them all to help you in battle with the “delivery help” feature.

Since they’re the top dogs of the Japanese Yakuza, summoning them in battle unleashes extreme power.
