Today, during a livestream from Japan, Compile Heart and Yostar revealed the opening animation of the upcoming action JRPG Azur Lane: Crosswave.
The video showcases plenty of well-known shipgirls in action including newcomers Suruga and Shimakaze, who will be the protagonists of the single-player story campaign.
We also hear more of the theme song “Jiyuu no Akatsuki” (which translates into “Dawn of Freedom”) performed by Shimakaze’s voice actress Saori Hayami.
During the same livestream, Yostar also shared information about the next event for the mobile game, and about the upcoming anime series.

Azur Lane: Crosswave will launch on the Japanese shelves on August 29, 2019, for PS4. A western release has recently been announced for 2020.
