The artwork was shared by the Korean official Twitter account of the developer, portraying famous rocker Johnny  Silverhand, who appears in a supporting role in the game played by Keanu Reeves.

The celebratory artwork is inspired by the National Liberation Day of Korea which is celebrated locally every year on August 15, commemorating the nation’s independence from the Empire of Japan at the end of World War II.

The message reads:

“Honoring the patriotic ancestors who returned the light to Korea by dedicating their bodies and mind to protect the country.

In commemoration of Korea’s 75th anniversary of the day of liberation, CD Projekt RED delivers Cyberpunk 2077 artwork inspired by the national flag to Korean gamers.”

The name of the National Liberation Day of Korea literally translates as “the day the light returned,” which is the reason behind the wording of the tweet.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
