New Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer Shows Different Life Paths as Nomad, Street Kid, or Corpo

Developer CD Projekt Red’s second episode of Night City Wire has revealed a brand new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077. This time, we’re shown how players are able to choose from three different background stories as they shape their own build of the game’s main protagonist, V.

As you’ll see below, the three choices –Nomad, Street Kid, and Corpo– completely alter the start of the game. Depending on your choice, you’ll either start in the “badlands” desert region, on the streets of Night City, or as a disgruntled corporate employee.

The contrast between each is certainly impressive; while RPGs have always offered players a way to shape their backstories, few games offer such a starkly different beginning for each. The Nomad choice, in particular, sees players begin their adventure in what appears to be a fairly substantial area way outside Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 is slated for launch on Nov. 19 across PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which is a two-month delay from its previous Sept. 17 slot.

Players who purchase the game on current-generation systems will have the opportunity to play it on either PS5 or Xbox Series X free of charge, though a proper next-gen port is also in the works for 2021.
