Final Fantasy XIV is soon going to receive a new update numbered 5.5 and titled “Death Unto Dawn Part 1” and today Square Enix released a new gallery of screenshots and art.
We get to see the new trial tithed “The CLoud Deck,” a celebratory update to the Ishgardian Celebration that will pay homage to our efforts, and a look at the PS5 open beta that will come with the update.
“The Cloud Deck
The advent of the Empire’s final and most fatal Weapon sees Gaius and the Warrior of Light take to the skies aboard Cid’s latest creation. Will these miracles of technology and camaraderie allow them to rise above the threat of destruction that looms over Werlyt once more?
Ishgardian Restoration Updates
Thanks to the tireless efforts of skybuilders one and all, the Risensong Quarter now stands complete, bringing the restoration effort to a triumphant close. As a new age dawns in Ishgard, luminaries from across Eorzea have been invited to the Firmament to take part in a ceremony commemorating this momentous occasion.
PlayStation 5 Open Beta
The open beta test for the PlayStation 5 Edition begins, bringing with it full 4K support, vastly improved loading times and framerates, and a better gameplay experience than ever before. Richer, more immersive adventures await─across Eorzea and beyond!”
A few weeks ago, we learned that the next expansion titled “Endwalker” will release fall 2021. You can check out tons of details and the first official screenshots and art.
Square Enix also shared details about the upcoming 5.5 update a little while ago and recently published more screenshots.
If you’re unfamiliar with Final Fantasy XIV, it’s currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC, and an open beta for the brand new PS5 version will open on April 13 alongside update 5.5. The upgrade will be offered free of charge to those who own the PS4 version.
