To know more, we asked producer Keisuke Kikuichi whether he’s interested in releasing the game for PS5.

Interestingly, Kikuchi-san appears to be interested in a next-gen version, if there is enough demand for it.

“Personally, I am very interested in next generation consoles, so if we receive a lot of requests, I’d definitely like to make that happen.”

We also asked Kikuchi-san whether the developer plans to stick to cross-generation releases for a while before leaving the PS4 behind.

Kikuchi-san mentioned that the studio is still considering which games will be playable on next-gen consoles but be believes development plans will have to be changed to include PS5 versions.

“While we are still considering which titles will be playable on next generation consoles, I think we will have to change our development plans moving forward so that they include the PS5 as well.”

Incidentally, Gust is also known, among others, for the Atelier series.

Of course, you’ll be able to read the full interview soon.
