Dead or Alive 6 Will Get its “Final” DLC This Month

Koei Tecmo’s fighting game Dead or Alive 6 already had four season passes, but apparently it won’t come close to Dead or Alive 5: Last Round’s record.

Koei Tecmo’s fighting game Dead or Alive 6 already had four season passes, but apparently it won’t come close to Dead or Alive 5: Last Round’s record.

Today Koei Tecmo announced via Twitter its plans to release two DLC packages in mid-April alongside update 1.22, but we also learn that they will be the last.

The new DLC costumes will be part of the “revival” series. That indicates costumes recycled from the previous game and repurposed for 6, sold outside of the season passes.

To be more specific, we’re getting the High Society set and the School Uniforms set.

As mentioned above, this will be the “final” set of DLC, even if online features and the store will still remain available.

On top of the news, update 1.21, which partly changed the paid hair color change “feature” was released today only on PS4.

The feature was released back in February, receiving considerable backlash from the community. Koei Tecmo followed-up by apologizing, calling it a “misstep”, and promising a change, which is what we got today.

If you’re interested in the most recent content added to the game, you can enjoy the trailer released to celebrate the launch of the crossover character Tamaki from Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation, and her announcement trailer, on top of  the previous DLC released last month, which is another crossover with Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout and other games by JRPG developer Gust.

Dead or Alive 6  is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
