Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

Today Nihon Falcom released an extensive trailer of the upcoming Action-JRPG Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.

The trailer showcases plenty of action gameplay showing the Monstrum in action.

This is actually the first look at a demo that will be available for attendees on the show floor at Tokyo Game Show 2019.

Traditionally Nihon Falcom partners with Konami to exhibit its games at the publisher’s booths, and this year is no exception.

You can enjoy the trailer below. For once, it’s fairly long, which is actually rare for Nihon Falcom.

If you want to see more, you can take a look at the latest screenshots showcasing additional characters, the previous trailer, an earlier one, the latest screenshots focusing on the Grimwald Night, more recent screenshots revealing more characters, earlier gameplay clips, some more gameplay videos and additional imagesthe first gameplay, and the original reveal.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox has been announced only for PS4 and will launch in Japan on September 26, 2019.

At the moment, we still have no announcement about a possible western release, so we’ll have to wait and see if someone (likely NIS America) will pick this up down the line. My fingers are crossed.
