Ys IX: Monstrum Nox

Today Nihon Falcom released a new trailer of its upcoming action-JRPG Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.

The trailer is very brief, clocking only 15 seconds, but it still shows quite a bit in the form of action gameplay and even a few glimpses at the story via cutscenes.

We get to see the Monstrum in action, with a look at their abilities and battle moves. Looks like the game is as fast as the Ys series has always been, if not more.

You can check it out below and see what it looks like.

If you want to see more, you can take a look at the previous trailer, the latest screenshots focusing on the Grimwald Night, more recent screenshots revealing more characters, the previous trailerearlier gameplay clips, some more gameplay videos and additional imagesthe first gameplay, and the original reveal.

Lately, we also got a nice sample of the music tracks included in the two soundtracks coming with the game, which as usual are fantastic.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox has been announced only for PS4 and will launch in Japan on September 26, 2019.

At the moment, no western release has been announced just yet. Hopefully, we’ll hear something about it sooner rather than later.
