The Japanese advertisement industry tends to be… interesting to say the least, and Koei Tecmo created something fairly funny for Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate.
A new campaign created in collaboration with Kamakura-based company Kayac, the developer implemented a Twitter bot that interacts with users and claims to analyze their past tweets to find out the causes of their stress.
According to the bot, it’s based on linguistic analysis and personality theory, and the estimation is more accurate if you tweet about daily events or things that are on your mind.
Of course, after giving you what it estimates to be the top three causes of your stress, the bot advises to clear it by playing Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate. It will even provide you with convenient pre-order links.
I guess virtually wreaking havoc on thousands of enemy soldiers or playing video games in general can indeed work as stress relief, but I’m not sure I needed a Twitter bot to tell me.
If you want to try this yourself, you have to go to this link. Interaction and results are all in Japanese, but you can use Google Chrome’s translation feature to get the gist of what it’s said.
Incidentally, if you don’t see the dialogue options at the bottom of the screen, you can make them appear by clicking the three lines menu button on the right of the chat window.
Please do keep in mind that this kind of stuff is just for fun, and doesn’t have any medical value. If you feel excessively stressed, given the dangers of self-diagnosis, you may want to consider seeking a medical professional’s guidance.
And yes. They actually had a press release about this. I’m not joking.
