We start with one of the best aspects of Shadowbringers, which is its story. If you know me, you also know that I believe that it’s the best Final Fantasy story even written. Two major updates in, I still stand firm by that belief, which has only been reinforced.

The video features producer and director Naoki Yoshida, world lore creator and main scenario writer Banri Oda, and main scenario writer Natsuko Ishikawa.

You can listen to their story below.

If you’d like to learn more about Final Fantasy XIV, you can read our recent interview with Naoki Yoshida and Banri Oda,  our review of Shadowbringers.

Incidentally, we have info on the upcoming Little Ladies’ Day seasonal event.

A few weeks ago we also learned that the game has passed 18 million registered users.

You can then enjoy the report on our latest visit to the Eorzea Cafe in Tokyo, one  about the latest orchestra concert, and our look at the recent uniqlo collaboration.

Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PS4 and PC. Last month, Xbox boss Phil Spencer pledged to help bring the game to Xbox One as well.

He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
