The gameplay was presented by director Fumihiko Yasuda himself, and we got to see a completely new stage.

On top of that we get to see the recently-released transformable weapon “Switchglaive” in action and a new boss, the powerful samurai Makara Naotaka.

As many other characters appearing in the NiOh series, Makara Naotaka is a historical figure who fought during the Sengoku era in service of the Asakura clan.

Like the boss you can see in the video, he was known for his skill with the Nodachi, which is basically a much longer and heavier katana. Yes. I am aware I’m oversimplifying it.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
