According to a press release from the Japanese arm of the company, the game has shipped over 400,000 units since its launch in Japan and Asia on January 16.

To celebrate, the company is hosting a 30% off sale in Japan until March 10.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which is titled Yakuza 7: Whereabouts of Light and Darkness in Japan, underlining its nature of a mainline game of the series (which apparently the western arm of Sega decided to keep under wraps), stars a brand new protagonist and a turn-based RPG approach to gameplay instead of pure action.

The previous shipments update was at 300,000 units at the end of January.
