Samurai Shodown for Nintendo Switch Gets New Trailer

Today SNK released a brand new trailer of the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of Samurai Shodown.

The trailer provides a look at the game and at the familiar heroes that we’ll be able to play in on the hybrid console, alongside the dedicated control methods.

The release date of the Switch version is for now only confirmed for Japan and Asia on December 12.

The game will also launch for PC in the winter, but at the moment we have no specific release date regardless of region. 

If you’d like to see more, you can check out the latest character of the first season pass, Basara, whilefans are still waiting for for Kazuki Kazama and Wan-Fu

The second season pass has also already been announced, but for now only Mina Makijima has been revealed.

That being said, I recently interviewed producer Yasuyuki Oda who mentioned that the second season pass will also focus on returning characters. Yet, he did not exclude the introduction of guest characters down the line. He also talked about the challenges the team faced in creating the Switch version.

The game is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One. It’ll release on Switch on December 12 and it’s also coming to PC and Google Stadia.
