How To Get and Where To Use the Windmill Bag Key in Warzone DMZ

The Windmill Bag Key is pretty run of the (wind)mill.

Season 4 Reloaded changed a lot about Vondel’s key chain, meaning there’s different locations to visit and caches to open to earn the next key. Here’s how to get and where to use the Windmill Bag Key in Warzone DMZ.

How To Get the Windmill Bag Key in Warzone DMZ

As is the case with Vondel’s other keys, there’s more than one way to get hold of this key in DMZ. We’re detailing each in Season 4 Reloaded, before diving into where you can find the Windmill itself.

Looting

As with all the keys, you’re able to loot this key in Vondel. Opening caches, duffels, crates and more all increase your chances of finding it. We also recommend looking in clothes that are hung up around Vondel residencies, with keys appearing more common in these spots in S4R. Even so, this is a pretty unreliable method and shouldn’t be trusted.

Phalanx Faction Mission

A guaranteed way of getting the key is to complete the ‘Rifle Some Feathers’ mission. This is a Tier 5 Mission in the new Phalanx Faction. As a result, it takes a lot of working up to and is tough to complete. Players need to:

  1. Buy a SP-X 80 from a Buy Station.
  2. Kill 15 Operators or Commanders with a SP-X 80.

It’ll also grant you 20,000 XP. You may have to invest a lot of time in Phalanx Faction missions to unlock Tier 5 though. We’ve played a lot of DMZ and we’re not even close.

Mayor’s Briefcase

The third and final method to earn it is by using the preceding key in the new chain. It used to be the Mayor’s Briefcase but, with the Reloaded update’s changes, it’s the Barista’s Bag that yields the key for the Windmill Bag. Naturally, this needs the Barista’s Bag Key and then a visit to a coffee stand.

Specifically, you’ll need to visit the ‘Patisserie’ stand in map grid F4. It’s by the Mall POI, northeast of Market and south of a canal route. It can get busy but there’s normally an exfil chopper location nearby, so you can dip out as quickly as you dipped in.

Locate the stand and hop over the counter (or use the door at the back of the stand). There’s a Duffel Bag pushed up against the back side which we assume belonged to a now MIA barista.

Open it and take the Windmill Bag Key – and the rest of the loot. There’s also a series of cash registers and cabinets that are worth opening. We found thousands in cash and a few valuable wine bottles.

Where To Use the Windmill Bag Key

Now it’s a case of heading to the Windmill where it’s used. This is located just to the west of the Stadium POI, in Vondel map grid E7.

It’s swarming with AI, especially around the windmill’s base. Your best bet is moving to the apartment buildings just to the south. Using the high ground we were able to take them all out with minimal fuss. After this, approach the windmill and use the ascend line to reach the top.

You’ll find the bag inside the windmill’s top floor, nestled between some wooden crates. Use the Windmill Bag Key to open it and stow the loot in your backpack. It’ll give you a Gold Bar and the Houseboat Key.

Note that the image above shows the old chain. It used to give the Barista’s Bag Key but now requires it!

That’s everything on finding and using the Windmill Bag Key. Check out the best DMZ loadouts while you’re here – they’ll help you in any and all objectives.
