Here is a list of all game modes within the Main Menu:

  • Battle Mode
  • Online Mode

We’ll now go over each of these modes in a bit more detail.

Battle Mode

Battle Mode is a four-player match against friends or CPU characters in Kirby’s Dream Buffet, including the levels Sweet, Normal, Spicy, and Extra Spicy. Your goal is to eat as many food items as much possible by rolling down the game’s pathway, resulting in the character getting bigger and faster the more you consume. If you want to win Battle Mode, you must be the biggest Kirby; however, you’ll need to be mindful of the rolling mechanics since he can fall off the track.

But, don’t worry, you can go back to the path by using ‘A’ to hover, and smaller characters that haven’t eaten much food are easier to handle in these instances.

In the game’s menu, you can select these different Battle Mode races:

  • Gourmet Grand Prix: A challenging championship that features two races, a minigame, and an all-out battle royale.
  • Single Race: A smaller-scale competition for players that want a short race to claim their Strawberry Mountain.
  • Single Minigame: Play any exciting minigames of Kirby’s Dream Buffet.
  • Single Battle Royale: A showdown against various Kirbys.
  • Free Rolling: An area where you can practice your rolling abilities without opponents.

Online Mode in Kirby’s Dream Buffet allows you to test your skills in virtual Random Matches against players from different parts of the world or CPU opponents. You can also use a password to battle it out with friends in Password Matches, but you must have a Nintendo Switch Online membership to do these game modes.
