You may be familiar with Cygames, as they are known for the collectible card game for PC and mobile Shadowverse itself, while its console forays have been focused on the Granblue Fantasy franchise, with the recent release of Granblue Fantasy Versus and the upcoming Granblue Fantasy Relink, alongside the still-mysterious Project Awakening, all for PS4.

Shadowverse: Champions Battle is based on the upcoming Shadowverse anime that will debut on TV in Japan on April 7, and that is in-turn based on the Shadowverse game.

It already has a teaser website, and it will be released in 2020 as a “Card Battle RPG” supporting up to two players. The price on the local market is still undecided.

At the moment, we don’t have any image of the game, nor any trailer. Yet, today we got the release of a new trailer for the anime. You can check it out below to get a fairly good idea of what the tone and style of the game is going to be.

The anime has a very different art style compared to the original game, and it’s likely that the Switch title will follow closer to the anime itself, even if we have no confirmation for now.
