Today Cloud Imperium Games opened the sixth day of the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2049 in Star Citizen, moving from Drake’s rugged pirate-ish ships to the posh lines of Origin Jumpworks’ purebreds.
As usual. we get a funny parody of Top Gear and its original host Jeremy Clarkson. Here his name is Jax McCleary, but he’s still very recognizable.

As usual, the most relevant part of the expo is the Free Flight Event which will allow everyone to try the current build of Star Citizen without needing to pledge any real money to the game.
Here is the list of ships available for trial today, including the massive 890 Jump, that could be defined a work of digital art.

- 85X: A luxury and sporty short-range runabout for pilot and passenger.
- 890 Jump: an elegant, sleek exterior that belies its spacious interior, the 890 Jump is a true engineering marvel; crafted to impress from every angle by combining a unique, innovative design with the finest materials and the most advanced technology.
- M50: Origin’s premier racer, small, fast and highly agile.
Speaking of wealth, the game’s crowdfunding total has flown past past $250 million.
To be more precise, at the moment of this writing it’s at $250,307,580 and climbing fast. This means that gamers have pledged roughly 1.5 million dollars in about a day.
The number of registered accounts is now at 2,446,865. As usual, you should keep in mind that not all of them are paying players. The number includes accounts created for Free Fly events like the one ongoing now.
