Samurai Shodown’s DLC Character Basara Gets Release Date, Trailer, and Screenshots

Today SNK announced the release date of the next DLC character for its popular fighting game Samurai Shodown, and it's Basara.

Today SNK announced the release date of the next DLC character for its popular fighting game Samurai Shodown.

The returning character is Basara and he will be released on October 15. 

Alongside the announcement we also get a trailer showing him in action and a batch of handy screenshots.

You can see them all below, and enjoy a look at Basara’s moves.

There are more characters coming as par of the first season pass. Specifically, fans are still waiting for Kazuki Kazama and Wan-Fu. 

The second season pass has also already been announced, for now only Mina Makijima has been revealed.

That being said, I recently interviewed producer Yasuyuki Oda who mentioned that the second season pass will also focus on returning characters. Yet, he did not exclude the introduction of guest characters down the line.

It’ll be interesting to see who will join the cast over the next few months, but for now your guess is as good as mine. SNK has a rich history to draw from.

The game is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One. It’ll release on Switch on December 12 and it’s also coming to PC and Google Stadia.
