Today Larian Studios announced that the early access of its upcoming and massively-anticipated RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 will be slightly delayed.
To be precise, the developer expects to need only one more week to get the game ready for its premiere, looking at a new early access launch date on October 6 on Stadia, Steam, and GOG. The previous date was September 30, so it’s not a big issue.
The reason given is that the team needs more time to “triple-check” stability and localization.
The new date is “expected” because Larian is currently using an AI “World Tester” that can push the game to its limit reducing the chance that it’ll break (too much) when it gets in the hands of players.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will ultimately release for PC and Stadia when it’s ready. At the moment, Larian Studio isn’t talking about additional platforms.
Here’s how the developer describes the game.
“Gather your party, and return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the lure of absolute power.
Mysterious abilities are awakening inside you, drawn from a Mind Flayer parasite planted in your brain. Resist, and turn darkness against itself. Or embrace corruption, and become ultimate evil.
From the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes a next-generation RPG, set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons.”
