Guy Fieri Takes Us All on a Trip to Flavortown With His Latest Twitter Post

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Add another list of celebrities jumping in on the Animal Crossing craze that’s taking Twitter by storm. That’s right, this time the mayor of Flavortown, Guy Fieri, is joining in on the fun by showing off an Animal Crossing character based on his trademark look.

The short-sleeve flame shirt, shorts, spiky blonde hair and sunglasses are unmistakably Guy Fieri, even as an Animal Crossing villager. As Fieri would say, this character design is money.

The post itself is in the format of one of Fieri’s introductions he gives for every restaurant he visits on his show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. You just can’t help but read the entire thing in your head without hearing his energetic delivery.

Even though some people might try to poke holes in this post, it’s clear that Fieri or whoever runs his Twitter account knows this franchise. The joke that you won’t need to take out a loan for the restaurant dishes is a funny way for Fieri to toss in a wink and a nod to Animal Crossing fans.

Coming back around to the character, it’s almost perfect. The only thing missing is Fieri’s famous goatee, but it’s still a fun post nonetheless.

If you’re interested in any other Animal Crossing mash-ups with other media then we got you covered there. There have been a couple of recreations of classic landscapes like Pallet Town and this one that throws together a handful of iconic locations from Pokemon’s Johto region.

Besides Pokemon, Animal Crossing players have also recreated areas from Earthbound, The Legend of Zelda, and Pac-Man.
