Getting the Deep Sinker Shard

Before you can go to the Inferno Cave, you’ll first need to clear the Hidden Desert area and get the Deep Sinker Shard, which allows for underwater exploration. This can only be done after defeating Bloodless and draining the blood fountain.

After getting the Deep Sinker Shard from the Hidden Desert, which is located in the southeast corner of the Forbidden Underwater Passageway, it’s time to head to the Secret Sorcery Lab.

Getting to the Secret Sorcery Lab

With Deep Sinker equipped, you’ll now want to head to the southwest corner of the Forbidden Underwater Passageway, where you can now proceed through a small gap using the Reflector Ray. Follow the linear path and you’ll end up at the Secret Sorcery Lab.

This is a very short area with a bit of story exposition and a mandatory boss encounter. After clearing the boss fight, simply progress through the level and you’ll naturally be led to the Inferno Cave, where you get to fight another demon boss for your next progression-related ability.

This ability is required for continuing the story and getting the good ending in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night.
