Season 1R's first SMG.

Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 released with all sorts of changes and updates, but the one we are focusing on today is the HRM-9. We’re here to see where the HRM-9 stacks up in this new season. So let’s look at the best Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 HRM-9 loadout for all those competitive players.

Best HRM-9 Attachments

The brand new HRM-9 was released with the Season 1 Reloaded update, and it sits somewhere between the Striker’s incredible range and the WSP Swarm’s incredible fire rate. This SMG has all the necessary tools to take it to the tippy top of the meta. With fast handling, good range, good accuracy, and exceptional fire rate, there is little the HRM-9 doesn’t achieve. But we can do so much more with a few choice attachments.

The best attachments are as follows:

  • Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
  • Barrel: Thorn-90 Barrel
  • Ammunition: 9MM High Grain Rounds
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum
  • Stock: Folding Stock

Since the HRM-9 has quite the kick we utilize one of the less punishing muzzle attachments; the L4R Flash Hider, offering recoil and gun kick control while sacrificing very slight ADS speed. We pair this muzzle with the Folding Stock for another boost in stability and recoil control.

To improve our mobility and handling we utilize the Thorn-90 Barrel for faster ADS speed, movement speed, and sprint-to-fire speed. We’ll be zooming across Urzikstan with this setup and breaking ankles with our rotations.

For some extra bite to our shots, we use the 9MM High Grain Rounds, helping our damage per shot and damage range. If we find someone in our effective range they’ll be a chalk outline in mere seconds.

Finally, the 50-Round Drum is a must-have in Warzone since every squad has a larger health pool and you’re likely to run into multiple players at once.

Best HRM-9 Perks

For our Warzone Perks, we give a general perk package that any player can pick up and use without worry, but those wanting to experiment can do so by swapping in and out any perk they choose.

The best perks are as follows:

  • Perk 1: Sleight of Hand
  • Perk 2: Double Time
  • Perk 3: Resupply
  • Perk 4: High Alert

The classic Sleight of Hand and Double Time pairing shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who wants quick rotations across long sightlines and fast reloads in Warzone. This duo is all about increasing your mobility and reducing the time you are unable to fight back. Resupply is an end-game type perk. It periodically supplies us with tactical and lethal equipment, ensuring we always have smokes or grenades handy.

High Alert is an unsung hero in the new Warzone, with so many open sightlines and places for enemy operators to hide, you can be surprised how many eyes are on you at any given moment. This perk not only gives you information, it saves your life, and that’s good enough for me.

Best HRM-9 Attachments

For Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer the HRM-9 is already a fantastic weapon that is poised to take over the game. Its fast mobility allows quick traversal around the maps but has very few negatives to keep it in a balanced state. It kicks slightly harder than most SMGs, but quickly levels out into an easy recoil pattern. We can neutralize that weakness almost immediately with a few attachments.

The best attachments are as follows:

  • Muzzle: XRK Sandstorm
  • Barrel: Princeps Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
  • Optic: Slate Reflector
  • Stock: Folding Stock

To contain the HRM-9’s recoil we utilize the XRK Sandstorm and the Folding Stock, the former reduces horizontal kick heavily while the former helps to mitigate all types of gun kick and keep your shots on target.

For a range increase we have the Princeps Long Barrel to ensure our controlled shots hit hard regardless of range and allow us to compete in mid-ranged gunfights.

The HRM-9 may be an SMG but it still needs a bit of a push for it to keep pace with other top-tier weapons, so we use the DR-6 Handstop. This attachment increases our ADS speed, movement speed, and sprint to fire speed.

Finally, we use the Slate Reflector as an optic, but it can easily be swapped out for one of your own or even for a larger magazine if the iron sights are palatable.

Best HRM-9 Perks

MW3’s perks are a cherry on top of your loadout, generally helping with your gameplan or facilitating how you wish to play the game. Since the HRM-9 is a fast-paced SMG we want to utilize mobility focused perks that are aimed at helping us traverse the maps.

  • Vest: Infantry Vest
  • Gloves: Quick Grip Gloves
  • Boots: Stalker Boots
  • Gear: TAC Mask

The best vest in MW3 is undoubtedly the Infantry Vest, it offers faster Tac Sprint and even quicker recharge times, allowing you to whizz through the maps. Our Quick-Grip Gloves will save your life by allowing you to switch to your secondary in half the time. Stalker Boots allow faster ADS strafing often resulting in your opponents missing their shots and you scoring a kill.

Finally, the TAC Mask is perfect to counter the flashbang spam that plagues every Call of Duty lobby for the last decade.

And there you have it. That’s the best HRM-9 loadout in Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. Be sure to stick with us at Twinfinite as we continue to cover all the latest developments surrounding the Call of Duty franchise.
