Today Square Enix revealed the opening cutscene and new gameplay of the upcoming NieR mobile game NieR: Re[in]carnation.
All the assets were showcased during a livestream from Japan, showing off a glimpse of what we can expect.
The opening cutscene is especially charming thanks to the inevitably beautiful music by Keeichi Okabe.
You can check it out below alongside with the gameplay and see if they get you excited for this new chapter of the NieR series.
NieR Re[in]carnation will launch in Japan on February 18 with a crossover featuring the characters from NieR: Automata. It’s coming for iOS and Android following a recent delay for the game, which was originally planned for a release in 2020.
We already know that the game is coming west, but unlike Japan, don’t not yet know when it will be released in North America and Europe.
You can also take a look at the announcement of the game, the first gameplay trailer, the first screenshots, and another trailer.
If you’re interested in PC and console games, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… recently received a gameplay trailer showing just how similar to NieR: Automata combat has become, which isn’t a bad thing at all.
