Today Sega announced that its free-to-play mobile game Yakuza Online passed a new milestone in registered users.
The game now counts over two million accounts and a special celebratory campaign has started.
If you complete the tutorial in game by May 17, you’ll get the following 200 Diamonds, two million in in-game currency, 200 Donpachi medals, four Staminan 50 drinks, and two Double-Up Coins.
The game was released in Japan in November 2018Â and passed one million accounts in one week. Apparently, it has continued to grow over the past few months.
Incidentally, it includes the debut of Ichiban Kasuga, the new protagonist of the series who succeeded Kazuma Kiryu. He will appear on consoles in the new PS4 game that is currently in development.
Yakuza Online is currently available for PC, iOS, and Android, but it has not been localized in English. If you want to play, you’ll have to settle with the Japanese version.
If you’re interested in the Yakuza franchise as a whole, we recently heard new details about the upcoming PS4 game and saw a  hilarious (and spectacular) April Fool video made with its assets.Â
Yakuza Kiwami 2Â is also coming soon to PC, while Yakuza 5 is coming for PS4, even if no western release has been announced for this HD remaster just yet.
