During today’s episode of Capcom TV, the publisher showcased some new gameplay of the HD remaster of Onimusha: Warlords, that will bring the game back to modern platforms.
The game was played on Nintendo Switch in docked mode, and we get to see the boss battle on the roof against Marcellus. We also get to see another level, with plenty of demons slain by our protagonist Samanosuke Akechi.
While this isn’t the remake that many hoped for, it’s still nice to see Onimusha: Warlords running on a modern console, and the nostalgia is definitely strong with this one. Hopefully, it will be successful and it will prompt Capcom to consider reviving the series in a more involved way.
