The trailer and gameplay video give a further nostalgic look at the beloved game with its (admittedly pretty thin) fresh coat of paint as it heads to modern platforms.

Another interesting element about the trailer is that it introduces the new image song “Cleave – Ittoryoudan” (which translates into “Cleave – Cut in Two”) by popular Japanese rock band ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D. The song has been inspired by the Onimusha and will be released as a single on Dec. 26.

We also get a video in which the members of the band as they talk about the collaboration.

You can enjoy the videos below and see if it brings back some nostalgia. If you want to see more, you can also check out some recent Nintendo Switch gameplay, and the original announcement trailer which Capcom published August.

Onimusha: Warlords will be published in Japan roughly a month earlier than in the west, on December 20th, but Japanese gamers will be able to enjoy it only on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The western release is scheduled for January 15th, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
