Granblue Fantasy Relink

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Granblue Fantasy Relink is a really, really pretty game, and apparently, Cygames wants to rub that goodness all over our faces. Today they sent over via press release a batch of screenshots rendered in a resolution that can only be defined crazy.

Each screenshot that you’ll see below is rendered at a massive 11520 x 6480. If you want to enjoy the slightest detail that the good folks at PlatinumGames have poured into this potential gem, now you can. They’re so big that our gallery didn’t support them, so I had to improvise. You can watch them at the bottom of the post.

We also get a brief official description of the game, and the confirmation that the release date for PS4 is still “TBD.”

“Get ready for new action, new adventure, new stories starring the much-loved characters from the hugely popular Japanese RPG Granblue Fantasy.
The original Granblue Fantasy was released on smartphones in 2014 and has been downloaded over 23 million times. Granblue Fantasy: Relink will bring the brilliant blue skies and amazing artwork of the original smartphone title to life on home consoles, overseen by the game’s original art studio, CyDesignation, in collaboration with the action experts at PlatinumGames.”

I don’t know about you, but “TBD” can’t come soon enough for me. My body is ready for all this Granblue Fantasy goodness.

If you want to learn more about the game, we also have some more info, a new trailer, and new gameplay. While it has been announced only for PS4, we also learned that its Director is interested in working on Steam.

If you’d like to know what in the world is Granblue Fantasy and why it matters to you, you can read my article from yesterday. You should also enjoy my piece on past reveals, and the probable playable characters they included.
