The news was announced by Japanese-American entertainment company Viz Media on Twitter, which has licensed the manga series for a western release. The Splatoon manga was first released in Japan in a monthly manga magazine called CoroCoro Comic in May 2015 to coincide with first Splatoon game release. It was later picked up as a series in February 2016 by the same publication.

There’s no official release date yet, but Viz Media has promised questioning fans on Twitter that it will let them know as soon as pre-orders are available.

For more Splatoon, why not check out the announcement that Splatoon 2 will have a new co-op mode called Salmon Run, or some screenshots showing off its in-game amiibo support?

Splatoon 2 is releasing on Nintendo Switch on July 21.
