Samurai Shodown’s DLC Character Wan-Fu Gets Release Date, Trailer, and Screenshots

Today SNK announced the release date of the next DLC character for its popular fighting game Samurai Shodown.

The returning character is Wan-Fu, and he will be released worldwide on December 18.

You can check out his trailer and a few dedicated screenshots below. Wan-Fu certainly looks as fearsome as ever.

Wan-Fu is the last character coming with the first season pass of the game, following the recent launch of Kazuki Kazama.

The second season pass has also already been announced, for now only Mina Makijima has been revealed.

That being said, I recently interviewed producer Yasuyuki Oda who mentioned that the second season pass will also focus on returning characters. Yet, he did not exclude the introduction of guest characters down the line.

It’ll be interesting to see who will join the cast over the next few months, but for now your guess is as good as mine. SNK has a rich history to draw from.

The game is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. It’ll release on Switch in  Q1 2020 following a recent delay, and it’s also coming to PC at some point.
