PlayerUnknown’s Battlegounds (PUBG) adds the winter map Vikendi for all players on PC today alongside a new battle pass themed around the map.

The new Vikendi map, which went live on test servers earlier this month, is a 6x6km map with a snowy environment. The map is smaller than Erangel and Miramar, both at 8x8km, but larger than Sanhok at 4x4km.

The snow-covered areas make it possible to track enemy players with footprints on the ground though vehicles, except the new Vikendi-exclusive snowmobile, will have a tougher time riding on icy terrain. The item placement for the map is different than others with a bigger emphasis on level 3 vests, smoke grenades, and allowing level 3 helmets to spawn in the world than only in air drops. Check out the full patch notes for all the little differences.

The Vikendi Survivor Pass is also live today with 100 levels of cosmetic rewards, boosts, and currency. Similar to the Sanhok Event Pass, the pass contains a free tier for all players and a premium tier at $9.99 with exclusive rewards, and access to more missions.

Each level earned in the 10-week pass also earns “Coupons” which can be used to buy cosmetic items within its own in-game Coupon store, but will expire at the end of the pass. The official PUBG website includes a preview of all items in the Survivor Pass.

Vikendi and the Survivor Pass will launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in January 2019, developer PUBG Corp has said.

PUBG on PC is also on sale during the Steam Winter Sale, which begins tomorrow, Dec. 20. The game has been nominated for “Game of the Year” in the third annual Steam Awards, which was voted into nomination alongside Hitman 2 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey by Steam users.
