The game’s first LAN event will host competitions in Solo, Duo, Duo FPP (First Person Perspective), and Squad mode. The tournament will feature 80 players, and the winner will be determined by who can earn the best overall score after a set of three games.

Bluehole will be selling in-game cosmetics, starting Aug. 3, with proceeds going to the prize pool and charities of the developer’s choice. The studio said the tournament’s prize pool will total $350,000.

The Battle Royale-styled game quickly gained popularity since its Steam Early Access launch last March, recently selling over five million copies.

The PUBG Invitational runs starts at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Aug. 23 through Aug. 26. The event can be watched through the game’s official Twitch, YouTube, Mixer, and other social media profiles.
