New Vanillaware Game Will be Revealed After the Completion of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The release of the Prologue of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim by Vanillaware included a mysterious short teaser, and now we know when it’ll be revealed. While the teaser (which was discovered by the folks at Persona Central) was brief, it included imagery that hinted to a fantasy world. It did not specifically mention that we were getting the first look at a new game, but confirmation came today from Japanese personality Mafia Kajita, who appeared in an official video published by Atlus. In the video, we learn that more info about that game will be revealed after the completion of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Since we now know that the set release window for Vanillaware’s science-fiction game is now set in the fall of 2019, it’s likely that the way for the reveal of the new title won’t be too long. That being said, Vanillaware isn’t a big team, and it tends to take some time between reveals and releases, so it’s likely that if you need your Vanillaware fantasy fix, you’ll have to stick with Odin Sphere Leifthrasir or Dragon’s Crown Pro for quite a while longer. If you want to see more of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, you can check out some video clips showing its many characters in motion, and a second batch. You can also watch an earlier trailer.
