During a livestreamed event from Japan dedicated to the Muv-Luv series, publisher aNCHOR revealed new information about the upcoming game codenamed “Project Immortal.”

The new info was provided directly by the game’s creator Kitakuou, who gave a refreshingly honest report on what happened during the past year since the game was announced.

Unfortunately, while Kitakuou wanted to launch an early access version of the game in May, that didn’t happen due to reasons related to the COVID pandemic and mostly to his own attitude, young age, and inexperience.

He actually considered quitting at some point, but he received many messages from fans waiting for the game, so he decided to continue.

That being said, now his attitude has changed also thanks to the advice of Muv-Luv creator Kouki Yoshimune and other developers, and the older members of the team are supporting him.

As a result, Project Immortal is still scheduled to release in 2021 for PC via Steam, iOS, and Android.

We also get to see new work-in-progress footage of the game in the form of a model and animation for the Chinese TSF J-10X and some VFX effects.

You can check them out below.

During the same event, we received the much-awaited announcement that Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (also known as Rumbling Hearts) will finally be released in English. We also saw the reveal of the prototypes of Meiya and Sumika’s figures by FREEing, new work-in-progress footage of the other new action game Project Mikhail, new images and details of Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After Episode 04, and a new and gorgeous trailer of the Muv-Luv Alternative anime series, which will air in 2021.
