Release Date and Price – Nintendo started off strong by announcing the release date and pricing for the Switch. No nonsense, no beating around the bush, and just letting customers know exactly what they’ve been dying to know. Mark your calendars for March 3.

Online Services – The Switch will come with paid online services. Users can check out a free trial, but after that, we’ll have to pay a monthly subscription. No confirmation on a proper friends network and achievements, however.

No More Region Lock – Thank you. Need I say more? these are all the announcements and games from the nintendo switch event

Colorful Controllers – No new console would be complete without the introduction of multiple colors for their controllers. Nintendo announced that they Joy-Con grips for the Switch will be available in neon blue and neon red.

Motion Control – Just like the Wii and Wii U, the Joy-Con grips will also have motion and vibration capabilities. Needless to say, these will likely be used for games that rely heavily on physical activity, like virtual tennis or fencing or something.

Screenshot Sharing – Nintendo is moving into the modern age alongside the PS4 and Xbox One with the Switch’s ability to take in-game screenshots and share them on social media feeds. nintendo switch games

Battery Life and Local Multiplayer – During the presentation, the company announced that up to eight systems could be connected for a local multiplayer experience. In addition to that, the tablet mode is expected to last anywhere between three to six and a half hours.

1-2 Switch – The first launch title for the console was announced, and it’s called 1-2 Switch. It’s a really odd western-styled shootout game where you get to milk cows too, apparently.

Arms – A new fighting/boxing game with motion controls was also announced for the console. It’s called Arms because, y’know, you literally swing your arms to punch your opponents. We’re still waiting for Legs, the sequel, and Limbs, the collection bundle.

Splatoon Sequel – Splatoon was one of the biggest titles available on the Wii U, and its sequel will be coming . It’s called Splatoon 2, and it looks squid-ier.

New Shin Megami Tensei Game – Atlus showed off a short teaser trailer for a brand new Shin Megami Tensei game to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary. It looks dark and gritty, just as any mainline SMT game should.

Project Octopath Traveler – Square Enix is developing an RPG for the Switch as well, and it’s a cute looking 2D title called Project Octopath Traveler. I hope that’s just a working title, though. this was but one of all the games and news from the nintendo switch event

Xenoblade 2 – The Nintendo really sold itself as a JRPG machine during the presentation today as Xenoblade 2 was announced for the console.

Fire Emblem Warriors – Fire Emblem fans have been speculating about this for a while now, and the rumors were indeed true. Omega Force will be developing a musou game for the series, titled Fire Emblem Warriors.

Super Mario Odyssey – Of course there’s going to be a new Mario game on the Switch. This one is a sandbox game titled Super Mario Odyssey, where our favorite plumber gets to travel to real-life locations and fight Bowser. There’s also a talking hat.

Travis Touchdown Returns – Suda51 made an appearance during the Switch event and announced that Travis Touchdown, the protagonist of No More Heroes, will be making a return. No details on this new game just yet, however. all the news and announcements from the nintendo switch event is stacking up

Skyrim Gets Confirmed – Bethesda was quick to state that Skyrim wasn’t necessarily confirmed for the Switch even though the game was featured rather prominently in the console’s debut trailer. Todd Howard finally said yes, Skyrim will indeed be on the console.

FIFA Announced – EA confirmed that the popular FIFA franchise will be coming to the Switch too, though no other details were given aside from that.

Breath of the Wild is a Launch Title – Just in case you were worried about the Switch not having a great launch lineup, Nintendo saved the best for last and announced that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be releasing on March 3.
