Aniplex revealed a new gameplay trailer of the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba game Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppu Tan.
Today’s trailer shows Murata in action as he beats Tanjiro Kamado or… not really. Murata’s always Murata.
Unfortunately, the original trailer is region-locked to Japan, but you can check out a reuploaded version below alongside a few screenshots and art from the press release.
Incidentally, while a western release has not been announced yet, we now know that the game is going to get an Asian release in English handled by the local arm of Sega. The English title is going to be Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles.
At the moment, we don’t know if this localization will extend to the west or not, but you can check out the English-subtitled version of the original trailers below.
The Demon Slayer game Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppu Tan is currently being developed by CyberConnect2. If you want to see more, you can enjoy the previous batch of screenshots and another one, on top of the trailers showing Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko, those for Inosuke Hashibira and Zenitsu Agatsuma, the one for Giyu Tomioka, the videos introducing Sabito and Makomo, the trailer that revealed Shinobu Kocho, and the one showcasing Kyojuro Rengoku, and one focusing on Tanjiro Kamado in his Hinokami Kagura form.
It’s scheduled to be released in Japan in 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. A western release has not been announced and the region-locked trailers could indicate that the license situation is still murky, which isn’t unusual for this kind of anime games.
Incidentally, recently we also got the reveal of the second season of the anime, which will be aired this year.
A mobile game titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Keppu Kengeki Royale is also in the works. It was supposed to come last year, but it will instead be released this year in order to further improve its quality.
