Modern Warfare 3 itself is rapidly approaching and there’s a huge in-game reveal event to look forwards to. Here’s how to watch the MW3 reveal in Warzone, including when it’s taking place and where to head in-game.
When Is the MW3 Warzone Reveal Event? Date & Time
The MW3 reveal event will take place in Call of Duty: Warzone on Thursday, August 17. As is the case with the majority of Warzone updates, it’ll drop early in the morning for west-coast players and in the evening for European players. Specifically, the reveal event takes place at:
- 10:30am PT
- 1:30pm ET
- 6:30pm BST
- 7:30pm CET
- 4:30am AEDT
Players need to be active on the battle royale at this time in order to enjoy the event as it occurs.
How to Watch Modern Warfare 3 (2023) Reveal Event
A new playlist, called Shadow Siege, is now available in Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. Presumably, players need to be in a match within this playlist at the above times. It’s a locked playlist currently, but we expect it to become available on August 17 for players to drop into.
The Shadow Siege playlist, as was the case with the teasers before it, points players to Al Mazrah’s Zaya Observatory. The central POI is also where players are pointed when they text Activision. The mysterious Konni Group are thought to be involved after their implementation with Season 5, although their exact scheme has not yet been revealed.
If you’re unable to be in a game for the event’s release time, you should be able to tune into a streamer to watch it. There will be countless content creators live across Twitch, YouTube and more.
The event highlights will also be made available on Call of Duty’s social channels, so there’s an easy way to catch up if you don’t manage to free up the time to see it as it happens.
What Will It Be?
We don’t know and there’s been no indication just yet. There’s already been a lot of leaks surrounding MW3 but few details about its in-game reveal have made their way into the public domain.
When the event was originally confirmed, Activision teased it as follows: “Join the ranks of Shadow Company to take on Konni forces and secure the chemical weapon threat before it’s too late. Stay tuned to Call of Duty channels for more details about the upcoming reveal.”
A new teaser, sent out via Activision’s MW3 marketing, instructed players to extract Gas Canisters from near the Zaya Observatory. They don’t appear to have been added to DMZ just yet, but we expect them to form part of the reveal event or its aftermath.
That’s everything we know about Warzone’s MW3 reveal event. As more is know, this page will be updated to reflect all the latest. Stay tuned (and frosty).
