How To Get and Where To Use the Equipment Crate Key in Warzone DMZ

All the Equipment you need.

Vondel’s DMZ key chain was chain-ged with Season 4 Reloaded, meaning you need to visit different areas and open different caches to access the next. Here’s how to get and where to use the Equipment Crate Key in Warzone DMZ.

How To Get the Equipment Crate Key

In Season 4 Reloaded, there’s more than one way to get the Equipment Crate Key. Unfortunately, it can’t be earned by completing a Faction mission like some alternative keys. Instead, you need to rely on looting or the updated key chain.

Looting

This is easily the worse of the two acquisition methods. It can be found across Vondel, in all the usual spots (and some unusual ones too). Check clothes for it because they seem to house keys more frequently after the S4R update. Even then, there’s only a slim chance you’ll find it.

Diver’s Crate

The updated DMZ key chain means we can guarantee the Equipment Crate Key in the Diver’s Crate. This requires its own key and is located in map grid G5, southwest of Central Station. It’s in the canal itself, so it’s ostensibly one of the tougher keys to locate.

However, if you’re in the right area (shown in the images above), you can look underwater and find the sunken houseboat. The crate is inside this houseboat, so you’ll need to dive and locate it quickly.

A Rebreather is an option if you’ve got one, but we just made two trips and managed without. The first let us locate the Diver’s Crate, the second to open it and loot.

While the image above shows wrong key, the new chain means you’ll be rewarded with the Equipment Crate Key. That’s why you’re reading this, after all.

Where To Use Equipment Crate Key

In Vondel, the place the key can be used is located under Vondel’s Museum, in map grid G6.

It’s actually most easily accessible via the waterways, heading into the area under the Museum from slightly northeast of the crate’s location. In the screenshot I’ve included below, you can see exactly where you should drop down and enter. It allows you to bypass most of the AI in Museum and saves you from having to unlock the POI itself.

The Crate itself is located on the other side of the underwater area. It’s suspended on a platform in the center. Note that a few AI do populate the underground area and some will travel down from the Museum itself when your presence is known. They shouldn’t be too difficult to dispatch though.

The image below shows its precise location on the map, and then what you’re searching for in-game too. Inside there’s a few items you might like and the Sewers Maintenance Key.
