Director Kenji Anabuki and the official accounts of the game have been providing more images showing off various elements of the game.

We take a look at more costume, one of the “Other” enemies named “Brawn Yawn,” the Brain Map that will let us evolve our characters, the Protect Vision and Psychokinesis skills, and some cute mascots.

The following tweet includes a look at the pre-order bonus cosmetics, Baki atachments, and costume designed by The Oral Cigarettes band.

Here are more screenshots of the Red Battle Attire coming with the Deluxe Edition.

Next, is a short video showing the Other’s weak point.

Last, but not least, a look at New Himuka, the setting of the game. It’s a country where the Internet of Things based on brain science has been developed to the very limit. It’s the only nation in the world with 2,000 years of history and features a network that connects everyone’s brain sharing all kinds of information.

In New Himuka, the places where people can live safely are limited and the civilian population lives focused in a few cities. Many places are deserted and dominated by empty ruins.

If you’d like to see more of  Scarlet Nexus, you can check out the previous promotional video, the latest developer diarythe original trailer, a gallery of screenshots, an earlier gameplay showcase presented by Anabuki-san himself and producer Keita Iizuka,  more screenshots, and the latest gameplay.

Of course, you should also read my own preview from a few months ago.

The game is coming for PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on June 25 and is even getting a TV anime adaptation by acclaimed studio Sunrise.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, here’s how Bandai Namco describes it officially.

“In the far distant future, a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it.

As humanity enters this new era, deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Impervious to conventional weapons, those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psychics, are our only chance to fight the onslaught from above and preserve humanity.

Since that fateful day psychics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force, humanity’s last line of defense.

Players will dive into a complex story of bonds, courage and heroism crafted by the minds behind the iconic TALES OF game, TALES OF VESPERIA. Using psycho-kinetic powers, the world becomes an important ally. Lift, break, and hurl pieces of the environment to build attack combos and lay waste to enemies.”
