The developers took to Twitter to make the announcement, mentioning that the aim during development was to start service in Japan in 2020, but they had to change that target to the first half of 2021.

You can see the tweet below with a cute and “apologetic” illustration.

On top of that, a notice on the official site explains that most of development up to version 1.0.0 has been completed, and the team is now focusing on creating additional content to be released after the game launches, on top of optimization.

We already know that the game is coming west, but unlike Japan, we did not yet know when it would be released in North America and Europe. Whether the plans for the west have also changed or not is unknown at the moment.

NieR Re[in]carnation is coming for iOS and Android. You can also take a look at the announcement of the gamethe first gameplay trailerthe first screenshots, and another trailer.

If you’re interested in PC and console games, NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… just received a gameplay trailer showing just how similar to NieR: Automata combat has become, which isn’t a bad thing at all.
