Yesterday Twinfinite attended a Fairy Tail preview event in London organized by Koei Tecmo, and we were allowed to record plenty of gameplay of the upcoming JRPG.

The PS4 build was fully localized in English (we also saw another build with more content that wasn’t fully localized, but we weren’t able to record that one as it wasn’t ready for public showing), and showcased an early part of the story.

We get to see plenty of exploration of the city of Magnolia and its surroundings including the guild itself, and plenty of turn-based JRPG battles.

Toward the end of the video you’ll also be able to see a boss battle against Jellal and the “awakened” feature. When your characters take a lot of damage, they will awaken, recovering HP and buffing their stats for a certain amount of time.

More powerful spells will also available while awakened, allowing the player to wreak havoc on the enemies.

Do keep in mind that the build isn’t final, and there are missing elements, like certain dialogue, menus, cutscenes, and characters that will appear in the finished game.

You can also see more gameplay from a Japanese livestream, the latest promotion video, the previous traileranother recent railer and screenshots showing plenty of playable characters

You can then enjoy the original announcement trailergameplay footage from Tokyo Game Show, another gallery of screenshots, and the previous  batch introducing Juvia and Gajeel.

Fairy Tail will be released worldwide on March 19, 2020 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
