Blue Protocol Alpha Invites Sent; Check Your Email

Today Bandai Namco sent the invites to the upcoming alpha test of its anime-style MMORPG Blue Protocol.

If you registered in the hope to get a spot in the alpha, you should check the email associated with your Japanese Bandai Namco account.

Do keep in mind that (unlike many other developers) Bandai Namco sent you a mail whether you have been accepted or not. If you notice a message in Japanese marked “Blue Protocol” in your mailbox, before you celebrate, you may want to at least run it through Google Translate if you can’t read Japanese.

The mail will either tell you that you have been accepted into the alpha, or that you have been rejected. In case you’ve been lucky, the website for the test will open tomorrow, likely offering the download of the client. The servers will be open between July 26 and July 28.

Blue Protocol is an online JRPG in development for PC by a team named Project Blue Sky, which is a joint initiative of Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studios. At the moment, there is no set release date.

A western localization has also not been announced, but the initial press release mentioned that the goal is to “impress the world” so we can definitely hold on to hope to play it in English at some point.
