The game publishers and developers Sega and Atlus have announced their joint lineup for this year’s E3, bringing a slew of upcoming titles as well as some new surprises.
Full of titles from both companies, Sega and Atlus’ E3 joint lineup includes a number of games across several genres and series. In addition to playable demos for previously confirmed titles such as Yakuza Kiwami 2, Shining Resonance Refrain, Valkyria Chronicles 4 and Team Sonic Racing, new footage will be shown on the show floor for Catherine: Full Body, a remake of the 2011 puzzle title with new story content tailored to a new love interest, Rin. A noticeable absentee from the available demos, though, will be Total War: Three Kingdoms, the latest entry in the Total War strategy series set in ancient China.
“During the past year, we’ve seen a strong response from fans to key western releases in the Yakuza series and have heard their voices for more Valkyria Chronicles,” Naoto Hiraoka, president and CEO of Atlus U.S.A and senior vice president of publishing for Sega of America, said. “As part of the wealth of IP owned by Sega, it is our pleasure to bring Yakuza: Kiwami 2 and Valkyria Chronicles 4 to fans at the show. This E3 also represents an important moment for Atlus as it nears its fifth year with Sega, and as part of that, we will have something to announce very soon for the west.”
Attendees will also be front and center for two new titles from Atlus, which are slated to be revealed on June 7. Those interested in seeing all of the new announcements for the titles as well as those for the other demos and offerings from home can do so through the companies’ live streams of the event via Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
