Today, during the Countdown Alternative year-end livestream dedicated to the Muv-Luv series, aNCHOR had some goodies to share about Muv-Luv Unlimited The Day After.
First of all, we meet the new director for Episode 04, Kuninaga-san. He previously worked on the Smash Bros. and Sword Art Online series.
We then learned the official title, which will be “Muv-Luv Resonative.”
You can check out the new logo below.
We also learn that the Steam release of chapters 00-03 should come by the end of January pending approval by Valve’s platform. This will include a brand-new English localization.
The official website has been opened and you can find it here. It includes information about the game and its cast in English. For now, a release date has not been revealed, but it should come soon.
You can enjoy a trailer below.
If you’re unfamiliar with Muv-Luv Unlimited The Day After, it’s quite interesting as it’s a direct sequel to Muv-Luv Unlimited. It branches off the main trilogy in a much darker way. Yes. if you’re wondering, it’s even darker than Alternative in some of its aspects.
It was originally released in Japan as part of the Chronicles disks between 2010 and 2013.
During the same event, we saw the reveal of the upcoming Early Access for Project Mikhail and of the 3D models for four TSF that will appear in the upcoming Muv-Luv Alternative anime series.
If you’re interested in the Muv-Luv franchise in general, we recently received the much-awaited announcement that Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (also known as Rumbling Hearts) will finally be released in English. We also saw the reveal of the prototypes of Meiya and Sumika’s figures by FREEing, more work-in-progress footage of Project Immortal and Project Mikhail, and images and details of Muv-Luv Unlimited: The Day After Episode 04… ahem… Resonative.
If you want to learn even more about Muv-Luv, Muv-Luv Photonmelodies has recently been released, and you can read our review.
For additional information, you should definitely read our interview with the series’ creator Kouki Yoshimune and producer Kazutoshi Matsumura, alongside our most recent chat with Kitakuou about Project Immortal.
