Now that the story of Shadowbringers has ended (and it is one of the best the whole Final Fantasy series has to offer), the video recaps it from start to end showing its most poignant moments.

Paired with a new piano arrangement of the main theme Tomorrow and Tomorrow composed by Masayoshi Soken and performed by Amanda Achen, the video can be really touching if you’re invested in the story and characters.

It’s pretty much the perfect chance to sit down with a cup of tea on Christmas’ even and look back at the past year and a half. Just, your tea may end up a bit watered-down by the end.

You can watch it below. Keep in mind that the video includes spoilers if you have not played the story up to update 5.3 included.

Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PlayStation 4 and PC and Square Enix recently announced that it has passed 20 million players.

If you’re interested in the game in general, you can read our latest interview with producer and director Naoki Yoshida, another with composer Masayoshi Soken, and our review of Shadowbringers.

Currently, the Starlight Celebration is going on in the popular game, and we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the advent of Naoki Yoshida as director and producer.

He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
