The video features the game’s key developers as they discuss the game, focusing mostly on its unique world. We hear about the massive country of New Himuka and the way its people are connected by Psynet, which is basically the ultimate social network.

We hear more about these concepts from director Kenji Anabuki, producer Keita Iizuka, and art director Kouta Ochiai.

You can enjoy it below.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, here’s how Bandai Namco describes Scarlet Nexus.

“In the far distant future, a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it.

As humanity enters this new era, deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Impervious to conventional weapons, those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psychics, are our only chance to fight the onslaught from above and preserve humanity.

Since that fateful day psychics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force, humanity’s last line of defense.

Players will dive into a complex story of bonds, courage and heroism crafted by the minds behind the iconic TALES OF game, TALES OF VESPERIA. Using psycho-kinetic powers, the world becomes an important ally. Lift, break, and hurl pieces of the environment to build attack combos and lay waste to enemies.”

If you’d like to see more of  Scarlet Nexus, you can check out the previous video of this series, the latest trailer, the reveals made at Tokyo Game Show, the latest character reveal the previous promotional videothe original trailer, a gallery of screenshots, and another gameplay showcase presented by director Kenji Anabuki and producer Keita Iizuka, more screenshots, and a video featuring the theme song.

Of course, you should also read my own preview from a few weeks ago.

The game is coming for PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Proud weeb hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long-standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
