Today, during the Guerrilla Collective show, ID@Xbox director Chris Charla provided some insight about Microsoft’s plans for indie developers and the next generation.
We hear from Charla that Xbox Series X devkits have already been sent to indie developers and and “tons more” are going to be sent this summer.
He also added that ID@Xbox is “full steam ahead on next-gen.”
If you’re not familiar with ID@Xbox, it’s Microsoft’s initiative to support indie game developers on its platforms.
It was launched in 2014 shortly after the debut of the Xbox One after the announcement at Gamescom 2013. It has been active in the industry for approximately six years.
Incidentally, Star Renegades, that received a new trailer today, is supported by ID@Xbox.
The Xbox Series X is launching this Holiday season. If you want to read more, you can check out some recent info provided by Microsoft.
